Candidates who do not meet the Bachelors requirements and who will be turning 23 years or above in their first year of registration may be considered. Please note candidates are required to produce a USAf letter or Certificate of Exemption.
If you are over 23+ and have a Senior Certificate (prior 2008)
• 4 Subjects
• HG and SG
• Grade A to E
• At least 1 on HG
• USAf letter of exemption required
For admission to a to Higher Certificate:
• 4 Subjects
• Grade A to E
• At least 1 on HG
• No USAf letter of exemption required
If you are over 23+ and have a N4 to N5
N= National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (Nated)
National Diploma obtained with the completion of 18 months
theoretical studies and 18 months’ work experience to apply the
acquired theoretical knowledge.
For admission to a Bachelor’s degree:
• 3 other subjects on N4 level
• 1 of these subjects on N5 level with Higher Grade equivalence:
Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering Physics, Computer Principles, Mechanical Drawing and Design, Entrepreneurship and Business Management, Economics, Financial Accounting, or Drawing.
• USAf letter of exemption required
For admission to a to Higher Certificate:
• N4
• No USAf letter of exemption required
If you are over 23+ and have Ordinary Level or IGCSE
For admission to a Bachelor’s degree:
• 4 O/IGCSE-level subjects with a minimum grade of C
• 1 of these subjects must be either English First Language or Second Language at AS/HIGCSE-level
• USAf letter of exemption required
For admission to a Higher Certificate (Or Foundation Programme):
• With only O level results, no access to Higher Certificate
• All the options below should include English Language or the mother tongue as a first language and SAQA certificate of evaluation should be provided:
Option 1: Total of 4 different subjects
3 O level (A to C or 1 to 6)
1 A level (A to E)
Option 2: Total of 6 different subjects
5 O level (A to E or 1 to 8)
1 A level (A to E)
Option 3: Total of 5 different subjects
3 O level (A to C or 1 to 6)
2 AS level (a to d) or HIGCSE (1 to 3)
Option 4: Total of 7 different subjects
5 O level (A to E or 1 to 8)
2 AS level (a to d) or HIGCSE (1 to 3)
