Programme details

The aim of this course is to equip emerging entrepreneurs with a basic set of knowledge and tools they can apply to design, start and manage a new/start-up business effectively. The course is designed in such a way that participating entrepreneurs will be able to apply fundamental concepts and tools directly within their different business contexts

Entry Requirements Important

Any individual who has a matric certificate or matric equivalent with communication, literacy and mathematics skills at NQF Level 4 can qualify to apply. 
As this is an online course, computer literacy is assumed and you will need an email address, access to a computer and access to stable internet.

Pricing

The price of the short course in Entrepreneurship: R 14 100. Note the cost does not include: • Cancellation fees: should a student not wish to complete the course but request an early cancellation • Repeat subject fees: should a student be found not yet competent on a specific module and the  student applies to redo the module • Extension fees: should a student apply for an extension of assessment which would move their  assessment to the following intake

The course will take place over a 7-week period during which you will cover the following topics:  
 
Week 1:  Introduction to the economic and business environment and entrepreneurship
Week 2: Market perspective  
Week 3: Operations perspective 
Week 4: Human Resource perspective 
Week 5: Financial perspective 
Week 6: Lean start-up process 
Week 7: Digital marketing basics 
 
2 x hours per week: Live online/digital training session covering basic concepts of entrepreneurship, business design and start-up. 
3 x hours per week: 1x application exercise per topic where you will get the opportunity to apply concepts and tools to your own business)  
1 x hour per week:  Share/feedback/discussion session per week where you can share your comments, experiences & questions with the group. 
 
 
You will be able to: 
  • Understand, explain and apply several fundamental business planning and management concepts and tools 

  • Integrate their business knowledge and skills into an integrated business  

  • design framework 

  • Design, write, present, motivate and defend a bankable business plan for a  

  • business venture.

Upon successful completion you are awarded the much-coveted Eduvos Entrepreneurship Short Course Certificate.
