Programme details

This course is about managing teams to work together towards a common goal. Managing teams involves teamwork, communication, objective setting and performance appraisals. As a manager of the team, it is also about the capability to identify problems and resolve conflict. 

Entry Requirements Important

Any individual who has a matric certificate or matric equivalent with communication, literacy and mathematics skills at NQF Level 4 can qualify to apply. 
As this is an online course, computer literacy is assumed and you will need an email address, access to a computer and access to stable internet.

The price of the short course in Managing Teams is: R 9 400 Monthly: R4 700 per month x 2 Note the cost does not include: • Cancellation fees: should a student not wish to complete the course but request an early cancellation • Repeat subject fees: should a student be found not yet competent on a specific module and the  student applies to redo the module • Extension fees: should a student apply for an extension of assessment which would move their  assessment to the following intake

This course is about managing teams to work together towards a common goal. Managing teams involves teamwork, communication, objective setting and performance appraisals. As a manager of the team, it is also about the capability to identify problems and  
resolve conflict. 
 
Leading the leaders (First-Line Managers) 
  • Select a first-line manager for a specific position.  

  • Plan the coaching process. 

  • Coach the selected first-line manager.  

  • Monitor and measure the results of a coaching session 
     

Teaming for a purpose (Build Teams) 
  • Understand the theory of teams. 

  • Apply the theory of teams to team dynamics. 

  • Explain the process of building teams. 

  • Analyse the role of the team leader in building teams. 

  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of a team. 

  • Build teams to achieve goals and objectives. 

 
Testing the team mettle (Performance Standards) 
  • Formulate performance standards for team members. 

  • Establish systems for monitoring performance. 

  • Prepare for a performance review of a team member. 

  • Conduct a performance review. 

Upon successful completion you are awarded the much-coveted Eduvos Managing Teams Short Course Certificate. This is recognised by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority). On successful completion, you will have acquired 25 credits at an NQF (National Qualifications Framework) Level 5.
